Our good friends at Morgan Stanley released a profound set of price projections for where they believe the S&P 500 will stand a year from now.
Summary – “most likely the market is flat in a year, but there’s a chance it could drop -27% or rise +13%”
Their highly-paid team of experts has determined the SPX will be somewhere between 1600 and 2475 12-months henceforth.
SPX 1600 to 2475 seems like a reasonable range and it won’t surprise me at all to see it actually fall within that range.
This is why it is important to leave the forecasting to the experts, who always seem to sport the most extraordinary neckties.
Armed with this piece of analysis, produced by the best minds in the business, it should be crystal clear what to expect.
Bu then again, the future is a long way off and a lot can happen between now and then.
